Role Overview for Freshers:
This role bridges the gap between academic Chemical Engineering principles (Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics) and real-world industrial plant operations. You will move from calculating theoretical flows to managing actual reactors, distillation columns, and heat exchangers.
- Process Monitoring: You will track critical parameters like Temperature, Pressure, and Flow Rates in a continuous production line to ensure efficiency and safety.
- P&ID Reading: You will learn to interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to understand how material flows through the plant and where control valves/sensors are located.
- Safety & Compliance (HSE): Safety is #1. You will participate in HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) studies and ensure adherence to environmental standards.
- Material Balance & Sampling: You will perform mass and energy balance calculations on specific units and collect samples for quality control analysis.
- Solid understanding of Mass Transfer & Heat Transfer operations.
- Familiarity with simulation software basics (like Aspen Plus or HYSYS) is a plus.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and chemical handling protocols.
